Off The Record
Intellectual Salon / Discussion Series
What, Where and Why Is OTR?
Off The Record is an independent intellectual and discussion salon in Norwich, established in August 2025 by Idalia Kulik. It hosts open, in-depth conversations, discussions and debates on politics, law, society, culture, current affairs and more. All backgrounds and viewpoints are welcome; no specialist knowledge or political affiliation is required.
Guest speakers bring expertise and anchor each Session, but there is no hard divide between speaker and audience: everyone joins one evolving conversation.
Sessions take place 1–3 times a month, usually on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings at a variety of venues. Doors open at 6pm for an informal social; the discussion begins at 6:30pm and ends between 8 and 9pm, followed by an optional social.
Events are usually for adults 18+ (as a precautionary measure, given the variety of topics), although exceptions can be made (please enquire).
